Dr. Alejandro Nieves grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He completed his undergraduate degree from Florida Gulf Coast University, master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University in Miami, and Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University in Boston. While at Tufts, he met his future wife, Dr. Bhavya Paranthaman, who is also a dentist and will be joining him at the practice.

Dr. Nieves was drawn to Panama City due to its rich culture and warm weather, not to mention he has had family living in this area for decades. He speaks fluent Spanish and enjoys treating patients from the Latin community. On his off time, you’ll find Dr. Nieves spending time with his wife and baby daughter, kart racing, golfing, or rooting for his favorite team—the Miami Dolphins.
